I tried to read this in one day but because of the subject of this book it took me longer to read. The book is told by a 14 year old boy named Daniel who tells his story of how it was during World War II. This book can be very graphic. Daniel is a fiction character that was inspired by real experiences of the horror of more than one million children who died in the holocaust.

Very sad, very moving story about one boy's story about the Halocaust. Rather depressing, but there's so much truth in the story.

I read this book for school so of course I thought it was kind of boring. It was very sad and gave insight to what people endured at concentration camps and such but it didn’t really suck me in like I wasn’t wanting to read it. Overall it was a pretty good book

Convincing anger not seen in other Holocaust books. And also detailed violence. While fiction, this book seemed more realistic than the other nine I've read. The discussion of the big picture for humanity was also a refreshing difference.
