I’m so happy Liliana and Romero were coupled up because they are made for each other. Seeing their relationship develop made my heart so full. Liliana deserved all the goodness in the world and Romero was so loving and caring but protective. However, I will say that I wish there was a little bit more about their relationship with romantic gestures and dates in there.

Okay, I read the books for the three sisters. Liliana’s is worse than Gianna’s, but better than Aria’s (truly just because I hated Luca and the cheating in the first book).

But Liliana and Romero are just… stupid. They know and acknowledge the issues with getting involved and choose to do it anyway, knowing that when Liliana gets married off (because why would either of them think she could CHOOSE a husband when both her sisters couldn’t?) it will cause problems. And then Liliana chooses to
Spoilermarry the old man her father sets her up with to avoid problems, but freaks out when he expects sex? Like of course no man should force sex on a woman married or not but did she really think a disgusting old man was going to listen to her when she said “no”?

I don’t think I’ve found a mafia book I like and I think i need to stop trying.

Meh, worst book in the series (so far anyway) in my opinion.

This revolves around Lilliana Scuderi (Aria and Gianna’s sister). She was shown being attracted to Romero from the first book itself but here comes their story. She was obsessed with him from the moment she laid eyes on him but he always ignored her thinking she was just a child. Even after making many moves from her side when Romero gave no attention to her, she was just tired of getting ignored and gave up on him. But after her mother’s death, she felt him being attracted to her as she was to him.

But the problem is that Romero is the bodyguard for Aria and a mere soldier meaning there is no future for them.

This was so full of heartbreak and the cruelty of the mafia world. I never thought I would like their story but the MC is very gentle and a sweet man. Although I am not looking for a sweet man in the mafia, this one was quite nice but again my darkness wouldn't let me love him like I loved Dante and Luca. There is some sense of ruthlessness that comes with the world mafia and that was actually missing here.

The grief shown in the book was almost consuming. I was so devastated for Lilliana and felt so bad. There is something in the author’s writing that you will find the books quite easy-going.
