All the struggles and hardships Solene went through throughout her journey in this book were worth it. Solene is a brave character, and I adore her for that. It's just sad that her mother killed herself just for her (Solene) to move forward. Many will probably have mixed opinions about this, but I actually think that Duke’s reason was valid, but his actions and words were not. The characters are obviously flawed because there are times I get annoyed by their unjustifiable actions (mostly Solene, Duke, & Mitzie), but it’s okay! It’s actually one of the most interesting parts of the book; to see the characters in the book develop and grow. This book was a decent read. It was entertaining for the most part. 👍

It wasn’t so easy to read it through to the end as a person who doesn’t fancy characters hurting anyone intentionally or not then finding out later at the end that they did, their POV making us romanticize the whole thing despite all the hurt they caused. For I knew that once I’d found out the reason, there was always a higher chance of forgiving and understanding, but it would be nice for a change—to still do that but end things with that.
However, there were climactic sequences that lacked sufficient buildup, such as when Jelay unexpectedly became pregnant with Atreus. There were absolutely no warnings. It simply so happened that leaving Atreus out of the narrative made it seem forced.
To be completely honest, I did enjoy the final few chapters. I'm grateful that the universe prodded me to finish it. The latter few chapters were easier to read than the middle ones, especially the epilogue, which confirmed my prediction that Duke's perspective would be revealed.
Although I have a lot of thoughts, I'll stick with this for the time being. Overall, it's a decent read.

is it legal to rate 4 stars to a book that made me cry at 2 am?
because if it is, then i think i did the right thing.
i immediately loved the story in an instant, it was a unique plot i've read after how many years.
it tackled about college life, family problems, mental health, and friendship. it showed the REALITY i've observed lately. the author said that her stories are far from the ideal, but when i finished it, i was kinda disappointed because i don't expect them to have happily ever after. **it's too ideal for a main character to be happy with her long time lover.**
but it's ok, for me, the ending part was the only manageable scene i read. the other chapters, they are devastating as hell.
i'm onto the 2nd book already after finishing this! so excited.

Wow. This book blew my mind. It was emotionally draining, and I was completely exhausted by the end. It's a difficult book to love because it's so different and unique from the other romances I've read. It's divisive in its own unapologetic way. It's also quite indistinguishable in that the characters are written NOT to please the readers, but to emphasize the themes highlighted in the book.
It discusses romance as a decision and a commitment, how our actions reflect and affect others, how communication is healthy and can actually save relationships, and how faith, truthfulness, and sense of duty are essential. I believe the author's goal with this book was to make you emotionally invested, and I believe she succeeded in that regard. It's incredibly stressful, both emotionally and mentally.
Because the romance in this book was quite intense, people had varying opinions and emotions while reading it. but for me, after reading the epilogue from Duke's point of view, I kind of forgive him for the things that he did because you kind of realize that he really didn't have a "choice" and as a young teen, it was difficult for him to think logically, so in that sense, I'm looking forward to understanding his perspective.
I just want to emphasize how powerful and incredible Sol is. I believe she is one of the most powerful MCs I've ever met, and she is constantly striving and shining. She deserves all the love, and I hope that this time things fall into her fingertips and the world gives her what she deserves.
My only concern with this book is how confusing the characters are written, how fast paced it is, and how certain problems in this book are not Completely addressed. Everything felt a little sloppy, and I wish it had ended in a more elaborate and complete way because it felt rushed. It's a good book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was angry, but in the end, I healed and recovered.

Basta ang alam ko lang ay hindi ko inexpect na mai-inlove ako sa librong ito ng sobrang-sobra. So far, masasabi kong sina Solene at Duke ang pinakamamahal kong characters sa buong Wattpad universe.
I LOVE YOU, INKSTEADY! Ang galing niyang manunulat, ewan ko nalang talaga
