This was enjoyable enough but I don't think it'll be very memorable. I found the 1960s setting interesting and I liked reading about the characters but I didn't feel connected to them. The narrative jumps forward in time every chapter, sometimes by years, but it's somehow still quite slow moving. I never knew if I was imagining the paintings anything like Solomons intended them but overall the artists and the gallery were the most intriguing aspects of the story for me.
This was a charity shop purchase from about six years ago and luckily I felt like it was worth keeping on my shelves unread for all that time.
