You can tell this was written by a dude, but it was still very entertaining. I enjoyed the unique way the story was told, with individual stories told almost as separate novellas, with interactions in present time interspersed between each one. I listened to this on audiobook and it was very cinematic the way it was told (yes, I watched the show many times and that helped).

Overall, I liked the idea of a collection of short stories about Geralt, but I like the traditional way of starting a series with an official book #1 instead.

The world was my favourite part of this book, yet not enough of it was unfolded. I’m hoping that changes as the series goes on.
