I’m so mad I didn’t like this—- it’s probably me. so I’m gonna reread it some time again just to see.

Because I absolutely adore the first part. But then the story wasn’t as great. But to be completely honest it’s probably me being bored and not paying attention. I don’t know why but this audiobook was so hard to listen too. I have no problem listening to 15 hours of Kasie West books but then 3 hour of this was boring me.

But I’ll definitely reread this book. And I’ll definitely try reading other H G Wells book- hopefully The Invisible Men.

In the book, a time traveler builds a Time Machine and describes his experiences using it. What it felt like in the machine, where he goes, how the world is. The future he describes wasn’t the world I was expecting but it was still interesting to read about.

The book is short, but given it was written such a long time ago it was a little hard for me to read; overall though I enjoyed it.

Classics become classics for a reason!
I enjoyed this story immensely. As I approached the ending, I felt a strong sense of Ying/Yang; the idea that light does not exist without the comparison of the dark.

2024 52 Book Club Challenge #28:
A yellow spine

The edition I read was the SF Masterworks hardcover which has a yellow spine.

A classic story. Such imagination for a story written in 1895.
