I didn't think this was unbelievable, but it definitely kept my attention and the did download some of the other books in the series.

It started slow, but sped up halfway through. I thought there was too much down time after all the action.

Tortured hero
Small town
Multi timeline

I don’t usually like second chance romances but this one was so good. I loved the way that Holt pursued Wren and cared about her. Catherine Cowles always has the best mix of suspense and romance in her books.

I was sent an ARC copy of this book and I loved it. This book made me feel sad and only a few moments of happiness. This really dove into Wren and Holt’s feelings in the book as they have been apart for such a long time. The love and care they have for each other I adore. I suggest going into this blind. As I said I felt so sad all the way through this book. I felt for the characters and all the circumstance they went through. They have some inner battles they are dealing with. The only thing I will say is for a small town a whole lot is going on in this dam town it don’t stop. Can get intense at times.
