None of the characters are likeable still. They all end up ruining any good things they say/do. Really enjoying the audiobooks they’re super easy to listen to.

Typical gossip girl fluff!! Which I love! This series is my guilty pleasure! Love the tv show, hoping to stay ahead of the tv show with the books.

I finally started watching the show Gossip Girl because I figured I am far enough into the books that I don't have to worry about immeadietly finding any spoilers. Well I got super-confused from watching the show with the books. They don't really line up. I do think that they are both entertaining enough though.

This is the fifth book in the Gossip Girl book series. Spring break arrives. Serena, Blair, Nate and Georgina are off to ski in Sun Valley where Blair nearly sleeps with Serena's brother Erik. Jenny finds out her boyfriend is keeping a secret from her. Dan interns at a pretentious literary magazine, while Nate realizes just how crazy Georgina Spark can be, and Serena and Georgina become friends. I like that this book opens with people writing in and wondering about Gossip Girl’s true identity. I liked the setting of Sun Valley, and I liked the storylines in this book. I liked seeing Serena and Georgina’s toxic friendship form in this book. I liked seeing this version of Chuck with this version of Georgina. I liked Blair’s storyline with this version of Erik. I always liked Erik’s television counterpart, but I feel like the book version of Erik’s character fits in more with this story. Vanessa and Dan’s characters are interesting in the books, but they feel disconnected from the rest of the characters. I was never a fan of Dan’s character, in the show or in the books, but I prefer Dan’s storylines in the television show. I prefer Vanessa’s character in the books, but I wish she was more connected to the rest of the characters besides Dan and Jenny. I hope that we get to see more of Erik, Aaron, Georgina and Chuck in future books, I find that the secondary cast of characters are interesting and underutilized in the book series. I say this with every Gossip Girl book so far, but there wasn’t much going on in this book and there wasn’t any large changes to the status quo and story overall. These books are fun as light reads, but I want some serious character changes or character building storylines.

Another hilarious book of these super-rich kids. Everything in this book is sarcastic and it's supposed to be social criticism. I still adore Blair Waldorf. My favourite character throughout all the series.
