Corazón tan blanco by Javier Marías

If there was any possibility of a tangent, the author went off on it, plus he digressed constantly, ruminating on distant and immediate past, speculating on immediate and distant future- it was too chaotic for me.
I do like his writing on a sentence by sentence level and many of his thoughts. The first chapter is brilliant.

Adorei a escrita.

At some points the prose was some of the best I've probably ever read. At others it was infuriatingly verbose and waffly.
