Okay, imagine everything you knew about the Venom symbiote was from the toy aisle of Target, and everything you knew about Wade Wilson was from the Honest Trailer for Deadpool (2016). Now, imagine someone told you to write a story about Venom taking over Deadpool instead of Spider-Man, except actually later you have to offhandedly tell the readers it was the Carnage symbiote maybe (?) and not actually Venom, even though this is nominally a “What If?” about Venom. Then, imagine you also have to shoehorn in the Watcher, Galactus, the Beyonder, Iron Man, Captain America, MODOK, and an assortment of pop culture references, other heroes, and comic events from the 80s, 90s, and 00s.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to make sense or be at all narratively compelling! Because Deadpool! People are just here for teh lulz and the violence! You can just spin out and smash headfirst into the fourth wall and call it a day! Because Deadpool! lol... as u can see he’s very random!!!! *holds up spork* DOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know how you feel right now after reading this review go off the rails and into a 14-year-old copypasta? That is almost exactly how I felt after reading the last panel of this comic.
