Loved the cozy feeling. One of those books where you feel safe and squealing-ish just from how wholesome and peaceful, yet dramatic everything was iykyk

Excessive use of the term "f*[email protected]" and "fboy" on every page detracted from the reading experience. It was used to describe almost every male and some females in the book that was not apart of the FMC's friend group. Could not get past the judgemental and unnecessary characterization.

One of my frantic clearance sale buys before Bookworm Bangladesh closed their Airport Road outlet, this one is classic YA. Kate and Anderson are these high-school theatre geeks and best friends who share everything - car rides, secrets, crushes. But when they both fall hard for the same guy, things start to get very awkward. Becky Albertalli is a seasoned YA romcom author, so this has heart, humour, drama and growth in the right amounts. The protagonists behave like they’re in an Elena De Armas novel, but in this case, they are actual teenagers, so it works. That being said, I think I have had my fill of overdramatic white girl theatre kids.

So after reading the whole thing I think the best summary for this is: Tangled but YA contemporary romance with Theater nerds, so obviously 10/10 loved it. I like the turn it took, I really enjoyed following Kate, loved her friendship with Anderson and her relationship with her family. It was such a fun ride all along. I love! Becky Albertalli‘s writing so much, I love that her characters are always such nerds it just makes it so much more fun. So obviously I recommend!!
