This book is a perfect insight into the climate for the LGBTQ+ population in the mid 20th century. Centered around the Stonewall Uprising, this collection of written work is insightful, powerful, and truly eye opening.

This book provides an important glimpse into the lives of those surrounding the Stonewall Riots. I find entering someone else’s perspective a good lesson in empathy.
This book brings together several voices from within the LQBTQ community. What they want is freedom to love and experience passion without discrimination.
What an interesting time to have a riot and protest and the police didn’t shoot anyone. How sad that at my book club we clapped at this fact. How sad that in 2023, the police don’t have the same track record. Sure, the police were still horrid and corrupt but no one was shot and killed for being.
