I enjoyed the twists and turns of the final installment. I enjoyed how our author pokes fun of himself and his readers/haters. I also felt like the story sort of dragged on. I started to lose interest. That's why this is 3 stars instead of 4.

"She wore the night. Her gown was silken black. The jewels at her throat, darkling stars. Long skirts billowed out from her waist, flowed down to her bare feet, a corset of midnight cinched tight across ghost-pale skin… Like a moon not yet full. The dark was alive about her. Inside her. Pale and beautiful."

It's over, and I'm not ready for it to be over. This book was perfection. Perfect conclusion. Though my heart is torn in two. Looking back at this incredible journey, I can't believe that it's done. That there is no more. But I can't be angry as the journey was well worth the heartbreak. There is a lot to cry for. The book is dark, full of pain, but oh, such incredible beauty. Mia is one of the best main characters.  I knew what was going to happen all along to my Mia, but the ending was even better than I could have ever hoped. Bravo, Mr. Kristoff Bravo 👏

I… I can’t believe it’s over. Few series’ ends have left me like this.
And I know, this story will live with me for a very, very long time.

OMFG!!!!!! DID THAT JUST REALLY HAPPEN!?!?!?!?!?
This book was amazing, funny, emotional and everything inbetween, I can't but I can believe that it took me this long to Rea's this book, and that is because I didn't want it to end and I was scared of how it was going to end and I had every fricking right to be scared. Loved this book Jay Kristoff has now cemented his way into being my top most favourite author of all time. Well done mister Kristoff.

Have you ever read a book with characters you hate with a burning passion and just can’t continue reading? That has never happened to me until now.

This may be contested opinion, but Ash was the kind of person who killed friends and a possible ally of her lover— and doesn’t apologise for it?

I get that Mia and Ash aren’t ‘good’ people, but even Mia doesn’t go around killing friends and loved ones , even in the name of revenge (Scaeva doesn’t count, since he was no father figure).

With all that happened at the end of Nevernight and the beginning of Godsgrave, frenemies would be a title better suited to the pair.
