The original version of this book is one of my all-time favorites. When I saw that this graphic novel version existed I was especially pleased. I did feel that some of the plot points were rushed compared to the regular print edition. Still, the illustrations were lovingly done, and I loved falling in love with Juliet’s growth all over again.
Graphic: Homophobia, Racism, Sexual content, Blood, Lesbophobia, and Sexual harassment
Moderate: Toxic relationship, Gaslighting, and Classism
Minor: Misogyny, Sexism, and Transphobia
