OMG! I loved this book. I loved the characters and the banter between them.

This book got me laughing and even though I don't usually like books about College kids this series is fantastic. This one sure was entertaining and I know I will be reading this book (and the entire series) again in the future.

This book is number 5 in the series but they can all be read as stand-alones .

This one wasn’t my favorite of hers. I felt more of the story was before they were even a couple and then just a short amount was them actually together.

Poor Poor Abe. All he does is try to help his friends, and then it backfires in his face. So now instead of being a helpful good friend, he's lacking a backbone and is being manipulated, or so she says. What started out innocently enough, speaking to the opposite sex on behalf of his roommate, who is not as articulate as him, turns into a case of catfishing gone wrong. (Not that there is a 'right' way to catfish someone.) Instead of weeding out the bad apples, Abe finds himself falling for one of his buddies matches. Too bad for Abe, he's a good guy who won't break Bro-Code by perusing the girl, even if he isn't attracted to the girl himself. There is humor. There is sexual content. There are a few cringeworthy moments. While this does have a happy ending, this book doesn't go too far into the future to see where they are now (like many books provide in the epilogue.) I enjoyed both the hero and the heroine, as well as the side characters. I do have mixed feelings about her reaction when she finds out the truth. On one hand I understand her being upset about the lies, on the other, she was falling for him, the real him, just as she had when she thought he was someone else, so it seems she might have had a sense of relief on some level. Anywho, that's just my thoughts on that. The book is a good light hearted read. It reads easily and quickly. Alternates POVs. Due to some of the content, this book is suitable for mature readers.

I like books by this author, but I have noticed some of the books don't seem complete. I enjoyed this premise, the characters, the dialogue and the build-up of the central relationship. Only problem is the book ended without the main characters exchanging "I love you's." They are dating at the end of the book, but I think a romance book should include a declaration of feelings before the end (unless the story continues with another book.)
I will give this book 3.50 stars. I enjoyed everything about it, but it seemed like it wasn't a complete story. I wanted to read about their declaration of feelings; I wanted to see them falling in love. I felt like this book just covered the beginnings of their relationship and the start of their falling for each other.

These books are always so much fun to read. And the chapter headlines are the best.

2.75 stars. I loved the banter between the two but the need to protect his roommate was over the top. Yes he had his heart broken but damn. He can’t stand to be teased and he’s pouty and he’d be mad his friend likes a girl he didn’t want. Is he 12? I found Abe’s need to spare JBs feelers annoying and there is no way in hell I would have gone out that fucking window.
Not an awful book just didn’t get the desperate need to shield this guy who could give a shit about anyone around him.

Sara Ney's latest installment in her How To Date a Douchebag series, The Lying Hours, is fabulous and my only complaint was that I wish it was longer! A fantastically entertaining take on Cyrano de Bergerac, it's full of fun relatable characters and hilarious dialog and banter. Abe made me swoon at "second-hand bookstore", and Skylar's introverted personality was so much like mine! The cameo from Zeke was a hoot and PERFECT. Skylar's roommate Hannah was a riot and I cannot wait to read her story in the next book in the series.

This was light and funny with a good amount of sexy thrown in. I enjoyed this one and can’t wait for Hannah’s book!
