Great addition to the series. Continuing to watch the main characters develop in the midst of an unsolved murder. And much more.

major twist in solving multiple past murders.

The mystery is good but I’m here for the relationship between Strike and Robin. It’s so interesting within the context of the mystery. But boy, this mystery had the most characters yet. I guess this is what real investigative work can be like. All the characters, alibis, statements and trying to pick it all apart to see what is the likely story. It’s kind of mundane but even so, I read this 32 hour book quickly so I guess mundane doesn’t mean boring!

These books get better and better! You can’t deny that JK Rowling knows how to plot out a mystery.
