Far from being a disappointment, this book is as good if not better than the first. We delve deeper into the politics of this world, and the complexities of our characters. The writing is still as eloquent and easy to read, and there sure is no lack of strong powerhouse women.

I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

An exciting sequel in this series which was highly anticipating for me! I loved the character development and the plot as nothing is as it seems! Maram and Amani were amazing! And the surprises kept coming!

Ugh, this was such a disappointment. I loved the first book in the series, but this follow-up had none of the magic and originality. Too many new characters and descriptions of outfits, too little sci-fi and political intrigue.

A sweet duology with a lovely LGBTQ romance and royalty, rebellion, side and unification goals.. More predictive 6 than the first book but still very good and enjoyable story.
