I sit here typing this with my jaw wide open and tears streaming down my face...

This book has left me completely speechless. After the last book I wasn't sure if the series would get any better. I was so very wrong.

Feeling a connection and sadness for characters you once hated is interesting. I find myself wondering how this series can even go on but I know it will and I can't wait to pick up the next book.

4.5 stars on this one. A quick-moving followup to the transitional book 5. Many characters really came alive in this one

If you've read the first five books in the series then you understand the pace that Mr. Evans is going for. It is quick and too the point, and as a reader I appreciate that for the most part. However, sometimes it would have been nice to have a better picture painted and to give some of the other Electroclan members sometime to shine. The ending left me excited to see what fate awaits Michael and the Electroclan in the final book.

My only gripe about the novel is that it almost felt like it was a filler just to set up the last book and didn't have a lot of substance in it. Which goes back to the pace and tone that Evans has set up for this series. Overall it's a quick and fun chapter of the series, which does what it needed to do.

For his second to last book of the series, I’ll give Evans a much improvement from his last two. The plot speed definitely picked up in this book, but it still felt slightly off as some parts are quickly started and finished while others seem to drag on.

Parts of this story irked me the wrong way like the high school drama of Michael and Taylor’s love story, or Ostin’s constantly tirade of facts that the other kids just seem to accept and never knock him for. I also feel like Evans could have finished the series right here with maybe a couple of more chapters worth of writing, so I’m curious what the last book holds for our characters.

All in all, still a good read and I’m still looking forward to he conclusion of this series. Let’s see what dock, or lack thereof, Evans pulls us to.

What a cliffhanger! This one definitely ramped up the tension and action and is leading into what was supposed to be the final book, so we'll see how everything turns out in that one!
