This really is a comprehensive book for machine shop students covering everything from the principles of metal cutting and using a lathe to the rather more complicated matters of reading blueprints and not only building machines but doing so accurately. There are plenty of photos and illustrations, not to mention various formula and calculation tables, to support the various aspects of the machine shop covered and I suspect that other than some modernisation there is a lot in this that is still relevant today.
