Just started it and Thor is my first favourite character in the Avengers (then Captain America, Loki, and Iron Man follow closely) I wanted to read his origin for the first time. I love that this is a huge book and I am slowly delving into it. Loving it so far.

This is honestly a really good primer for Thor and all the stories. Although some parts didn't age well (The anti-Communist stance, the misogyny and how weak Jane's character started out, Loki's evilness for no real explained reason) it did keep me enthralled. I did roll my eyes and wonder at the quality of LSD that must have been going around in the Marvel offices, but I also have to remind myself of the context of the books.

And yes, I still love Thor and all he stands for, even with the technicolour WTF stories and rogues gallery.
