Hey did you know Eve had a near death experience????? There were way too many references to her NDE. It ruined an otherwise good story for me. And the narrator?? What a grating irritating voice.

This book was very enjoyable. The way that everything comes full circle. The main character ends up running away from an abusive husband to the town her mom had told her about. The townspeople are all family and help her through her rough time. She finds out about her mom and who her father is. Transgender topic was handled very well.

I loved this book so much. Such a wholesome read. A bit sad, and I wished there was more detail at the end.

It was a good plot— I liked the characters. It just was kind of slow and boring for the first 3/4 of the book. The ending was very surprising and made up for it though.
