Alternating POV, romantic thriller, with a flare of action. This was a good start to a series from an author I've not read before but recognize the name. If you're looking for a FBI suspense that's fast paced and well plotted, I definitely recommend this one.

When the Triple Killer starts killing again, the FBI are called in. A newly minted Response Team with an ambitious leader plus an edgy female cop butt heads and ultimately have to set aside their differences in order to solve the case.
I enjoyed the pacing of the story, but found there were a few too many characters to keep track of. Brennan did a nice job of rounding out characters although I wish we had had more of Kara. She’s the real hero of the story and I feel she’s a little flat as a character.
Ultimately, the mystery is easy to solve but how it all plays out is still highly entertaining.
