This book does a really good job of capturing the uncomfortable sweltering heat of summer, combined with the main character’s guilt and paranoia. A short, tense read that was great for a two-hour train journey.

I cant tell you that I liked reading this book but I do think it was written well in a "omg this is so unhinged and very uncomfortable" kind of way

This book was strangely difficult for me to read. Not because of the themes, although I’d recommend reading trigger warnings, but because it was weirdly slow paced. Or maybe I was in a reading slump? I don’t know. I think I enjoyed it. I don’t like the ending but I suppose it says something. Solid meh
