What a story! I have always been a fan of Lenny Kravitz and really admire him as a beautiful soul. I knew some of his story but it was so interesting to hear the details of his early life and what influenced him spiritually and musically. His book made me respect him even more. His honesty and the commitment he had to stay true to his passion and voice was inspiring! I can’t wait to read the next part of his story. I highly recommend listening to him read the audiobook- bonus snippets of him singing a few lines of his songs!

I've always been a big fan of rock musicians, somehow Lenny Kravitz was overlooked by me, a mistake I plan to remedy. This was a great memoir. Now I must head to Spotify and listen to the man's greatest tracks.

3.5 ⭐️ Audio was good to listen to as he reads it. Lots of info about his childhood and upbringing although most is superficial and covered briefly. This book only captures him up to releasing his first album so there is WAY more now that could be covered. It’s rather short. I’d be interested in reading more where this book left off. Also it did end very abruptly in my opinion. Fans would enjoy it I imagine but would still want more!

I really enjoyed this. Lenny Kravitz has LIVED and grew up knowing all of the greats. I enjoyed hearing about his mother Roxie Roker and how he met Lisa Bonet. Lenny had me falling in love with Lisa by the way he talked about her. I'm guessing there will be a part two because this ends before his mother's untimely passing and before Lisa and him divorce. Excited to read or listen to more about his amazing life.

Listened on audio while he narrated 🤤. Loved the experience of listening to him read his biography. Filled with tons of Hollywood history. The book ends has his career starts. 🖤
