Also I didn't really like how they used the big twist at the end to move the plot along and a device to get Josh and Kristen back together. It really felt like Sloan got the shit end of the stick & it was unnecessary. I was hoping Josh and Kristen would have a more non-traditional ending and was slightly disappointed to find out they didn't. Everything wrapped up a little too nicely in the last 30 pages despite an absolute mess of a situation that was happening beforehand.
Looking forward to reading Book No. 2 but glad the author has grown from this one.

I have not had the fertility issues, fibroid tumors, or debilitating periods that others fight. This may be a hard read for women with this battle or it may be nice to see those struggles acknowledged. Abby Jimenez handled it well. This read is not the typical rom-com and I liked it even more for it.

where she gets pregnant. It felt too easy and disregarded a bit of the struggle and growth the main character Kristen had gone through. I have not struggled with infertility, but if I was, I think I would have thrown the book across the room at that ending. Not everything works out like you want it to and I felt it would have been better with just Josh as her “happily ever after” and maybe they adopt.Graphic: Death, Infertility, Grief, and Car accident
