This is a book that comes from a science fiction writer who wrote books about fictional genius kids. This book was wrote as a response of the critiques the sci-fi story that said the story scientific part was not well based.
Morgan discusses several intelligence enhancing technologies and techniques. Some of them are backed up by pseudoscience and theories about the brain proved to be wrong, others are just emerging and offer a very promising future.
The scientific background and arguments are not so great. Most references are newspaper articles from scientific origin, I would have preferred the paper instead (but you can look it up as I did). But it is a very nice book as it covers topic that are within the frontiers of actual cognitive science knowledge.
