Heavy trigger warnings for sexual assault and rape

This is a book that is so hard to talk about. The book is quite obviously written from a very personal place and that comes through in the story and the authors note. However, I wouldn't really recommend this book to anyone. It's really a book I never want to think or talk about again.

instead of giving this a star rating based on the notion of “ enjoyment “ of a book, i will instead say this : this author had courage to write a story that holds significant importance that mirrors to their own experience of trauma. sometimes, it is a hard thing to share such intimate experiences and thoughts with the world, but i am so glad they did. survivors should always have a space to voice their own experience in the way they wish to share it. the author’s note at the end was truly so powerful.
