This one I grabbed as Kindle freebie or else I probably never would have read it.
Likes: friendship and realistic characters.
Hated: love triangle.

4.5 Stars. Loved it! Even though i detest love triangle, i can forgive the brief one in this book, 'cause it was really good.

Kenneally's debut is a super fun, unique romance. I've certainly never read about a female quarterback before and I think Kenneally pulled it off pretty well. I love Jordan's interactions with the entire team. The romance was really sweet and she kept things interesting--I didn't even realize who the right boy for Jordan actually was until about half-way through. Fun read!

I really enjoyed this book; much more than I expected to.
I'm a big fan of contempory and romance, but sometimes the weird decisions of main characters, especially girls, bug me. Not with this one though, Jordan was kick-ass!

This was a great fluffy contemporary! I liked how Jordan was a girl football player (something you don’t see very often). The only reason this wasn’t a 5/5 stars is because 1) some serious girl on girl hate for no reason. At the beginning of the book Jordan is SUPER judgmental towards other girls (especially the cheerleaders) for no reason other than they are girls and they don’t understand football the way she does. Which i find a little problematic and is definitely a character flaw. BUT she redeemed herself by letting Marie and Carrie in and realizing that a girl doesn’t have to know everything about football to be cool. And 2) because the writing style was trying just a little too hard to sound like a teen (tomboy) girl’s head. For example when talking about her, she would use bro in her thoughts, not just her speech. In speech it’s totally normal but not in thoughts.
All in all, I really enjoyed this one and it made my heart happy to read!
