A mess of a book, subpar world building and character development. Steamy parts were good, I just feel like it was a bit rushed. Kinda disappointed.

Kiss of Darkness is the first book in the Curse of the Guardians series. I am opening up my fantasy romance reading, so this was a fun read for me.
Kyra is a dark witch and has a secret that she is trapped with. Xander hates Kyra but has to protect her. As Xander is around Kyra more his feelings change. He wants to hate her, but he also starts to like her.
I loved the banter between Kyra and Xander. There were so many secrets revealed. As well as twists and turns I didn't see coming. I enjoyed this book, and would continue on with the series.
