Hmmmm 😂 

This book, nor its main character, was not concerned with being palatable to readers. It’s an ugly read but I’m pretty sure that’s the whole point. I often found the MC to be insufferable with her “I’m not like other girls” deal. She is also definition of “hurt people hurt people.” If you’re able to read books where the main character isn’t likable, have at this 🥴

An absolute banger. 

Imo the perfect length, with a pace fast enough to make this an easy read. Loved Irina’s take on the world, especially her dynamic with Flo. Loved seeing glimpses into other characters’ perspectives without having to shift narrators.

My only criticism is that the ending feels rushed as if the author didn’t know how to conclude but knew the book had to end.

high 3.5. i love this genre of books but wish this book was longer tbh, the pacing wasn’t my favorite and i feel like this could have been a book that stretched out to 500 pages and maybe would have read slightly better.
