this book was a lot to take in. the writing was exceptional and the foreshadowing was amazing. yes, it was weird, but i found it to be extremely sad too. overall, i deeply enjoyed this book. these aren't usually the types of books i read, but i enjoyed it.

Wtf did I just read? Yes I finished it, but at what cost? The main character feels schizophrenic from the get-go and all the relationships she has make you uncomfortable. Then she joins a pretentious writing cult where they make animal sacrifices??? I understand that it is commentary on female relationships but everyone sucked.

If you like a book with a definite plotline and solid ending, this isn't for you. 
It wasn't bad. It was well written and the voice was interesting and well thought out. It did feel like a feverdream and I'm not 100% sure what was going on most of the time. I liked it enough, but if I hadn't plowed through it, I probably would've put it down and not picked it up again.
