this wouldve been an average 3 stars but the constant objectification of charlie's chest (with little other physical description) was the straw that broke the camel's back.
not to mention i already felt weird about the whole "a star's reputation is ruined bc he is allegedly gay" storyline.
this book was ultimately very all over the place. i love a good enemies to lovers story, but that usually comes with at least a modicum of respect that the characters have for each other. the constant hot and coldness between charlie and aaron grew tiring and the ending was so lackluster that i laughed out loud.
it sucks because it honestly had potential -- both main characters had ambitions, and passions, or at least hobbies. but it felt more like they were there to fulfill the needs for a tense will-they-wont-they scene which didn't hit the mark, and then these details were never present again.
im not totally bummed that i read this at all but i definitely wouldnt read or listen to it again.
