This was a deeply, sometimes painfully honest memoir. I was (pleasantly) surprised that the "lesbian" aspect was pretty much just accepted and not really really a big deal, and the main focus of the narrative was on the author's experiences with mental illness. () The story is very realistic; we see her progress and setbacks in sharp detail, and while there's no tidy ending, the story does end with hope — a sentiment made all the more powerful for the realism. The art style is deceptively cute and comic-y, but it conveys the emotions wonderfully. Definitely worth the read.

I will say, though, the bit about being sexually attracted to one's mother came off as very discredited-pop-psych weirdness. I mean, you do you, sure, but. Um. Okay.chirson's review against another edition

Strasznie smutne.

I have started it this morning but never realised I forgot to put ‘reading’ for this one. I also enjoyed reading it. :)
