I loved this one even more than the first!
I enjoyed Tella’s POV so much more and prefer her as a narrator and protagonist!
I think everyone and their dog guessed who Legend was but it was still a shock

I went into the second book blind so I was surprised that this one was in Tella’s POV but I really liked it!
I found that at times things got pretty repetitive. The plot also got a little convoluted and it was hard to keep track of everything.
Overall though this one is just as magical as the first. Reading these books feels like escaping into a fairytale.

I had pretty high expectations for this book. That's probably why it took me so long to finish it. I absolutely loved the first book. This book is not as good as the first. I think it's mostly because I honestly didn't like Tella as a character, even in the first book. I did grow to like her more in this book, though.
As for Jacks, I thought he was a really interesting character and i really liked him! (although I love any villian type character lol)
Dante I honestly don't remember much of in the first book. I did like the chemistry between him and Tella and it was pretty obvious from the beginning that he was however it did make me guess a few times.
The part i kinda didn't like was towards the ending when Tella wanted to sacrifice herself and stuff I felt it didn't really fit her character after she learned about her mother and all that.
Also with Scarlett and Julian they were hardly in this book at all! I really wanted a little more of them in there honestly.
Overall this was a decent sequel but I think I was expecting more, tbh.

Sooo many reveals ! Just as many twists as the first book, but this time everything feels more REAL. The stakes are high and climbing still.
Jacks is one hell of a new addition to the cast and I can see the appeal in wanting to learn his story.
Although I loved Scarlett in Caraval, Tella was a much better main character. I adore her personality; which is a big thing coming from someone who hated her in Caraval.
Finale is going to be insane, I can feel it!
