A very enjoyable fast-paced read from a new author to watch out for. Full review here -

Fantastic story and world building
the ending is just a complete head spin.... has to relisten to the final 5 chapters, 3 times.
really enjoyed how complex it became and how it was impossible to understand all the threads until the end

I thought the story itself was actually interesting, but I found this to just be boring. At least for me, it took a lot for me to actually care for anyone. The story felt so slow that it was almost dragging. Michael is an alright MC, but he definitely needs more fleshing out for me to actually feel anything for him. The side characters I can't even say anything about. In my opinion, the characters weren't catching my attention. Paired with the slowness of the book, I was really not a fan.

I throughly enjoyed this. It's not a favorite, but I definitely didn't mind it. I thought the story and the concept of the book was pretty cool. I would totally pick up the next book.

More like 3.5. It was good, but not great.
