Fuck yeah, supportive male friendships FOR THE WIN! Thank you, Kominato, for stepping up to the plate and being a good friend! LOVE IT!
I will say, the scene where Futaba said Toma didn't seem like a boy because of the way he carries himself really bothered me because reinforces harmful stereotypes about boys. I know that feminine vs. masculine, boys vs. girls is a big part of this series, but it does bother me that all it does is reinforce unhealthy stereotypes about both genders. That being said, that's my only real nitpick with the series, and I do like the series overall, so I'm willing to put my feelings aside and enjoy it for what it is.
I'm glad Futaba is still trying to change and become a better person, and I like the talk she has with Toma about wanting to change. Toma's a nice character and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him. On a completely different note, I'm looking forward to the major piece of drama coming up because it looks like it'll be discussing the potential issues with someone relying too heavily on one person for support. This is a topic that I'm particularly interested in and while it has been discussed in other series I'm always curious to see how it will be represented.
Only time will tell, I suppose, so I should quit chatting and get reading!

Haru's starting to piss me off. That boy needs to start learning some emotional intelligence, geez! I figured that the friend he was helping would be a girl, but man, is he just silly. And he's mean! What does she see in him? I do see some of his good points, but he needs to grow up a bit before he would reach nice standards of being a person.

Kou and Futaba's date falls through, and she gets more nervous about Kou's mysterious friend moving to town. The boy Futaba knocked over and had an awkward encounter with tires once again to show her he likes her, while she remains oblivious to the meaning behind his words. Kou gets jealous when he sees them together but keeps pushing her away. (very teenaged behavior)
I am also, not so nervous but I don't like that a love square is coming into play after the love triangle was just resolved.
