The title of this book gives a good impression of what this book is about: in the essays collected throughout we read how art, philosophy and politics are part of a struggle over what (potentially) can, might or is allowed to be seen, and what remains (forcefully) hidden. As such, art-theoretic insights are creatively extrapolated towards contemporary socio-political issues like climate change, social and cultural segregation, artificial intelligence, privacy, neoliberal capitalism data and more. The book is nicely edited, contains essays of splendid authors and also contains some great art.
