I'm not mad at it, there are some very pertinent plot points, this is not an easy read what-so-ever, as it is french classic literature. I've studied a lot of the book and I actually found myself sometimes enjoying it, but I really don't recommend it if you want a "fun" read.

One of my first introduction to classical theater. As a great amateur of Greek mythology, i could not but love this French classic take on Phedre's tragedy. The impossibility of her love, society or destiny binding her to solitude because she cannot envisage anyone else but her tragic love interest. To re-read.

È difficile valutare una tragedia dal suo copione, è sicuramente un'opera che merita essere un classico del teatro, anche se all'occhio moderno ovviamente non convince al 100%. La storia mi ha presa, anche se già conoscevo il suo epilogo sono rimasta incollata alle pagine. Ho apprezzato questa edizione Larousse con i suoi approfondimenti e la spiegazione dei passaggi più difficili.

No esperaba mucho de esta y me sorprendió. De todas las tragedias que he leído (tampoco tantas) creo que esta es la que más me ha dado pena y me ha hecho sentir la angustia del destino irrevocable de sus personajes.
