More character development...and more plot development. I like it.

Fortunately this volume was much better than the previous one. There was much more action and much more detail. I love this series. Several interesting things happen and some things are different from the television series. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I will get the next one of the week if it's available at the library!

All good things must come to an end and it's so evident in this volume.

Volume 10 is definitely where readers begin to see the central group rip at the seams due to the mistrust of Rick (I honestly don't blame them). It's not surprising because up to this point, Rick has made a lot of decisions that have ultimately caused issues for everyone. The complexity of the plot increases as more people and personalities are brought within the group. As a reader, there is a certain level of distrust towards every person they come across which is a testament to Kirkman's writing. One of the questions that I still have after reading this installment is whether the group will truly make it to DC. I'm curious about the creation and spread of the disease that caused the walkers and apparently all the answers are located in DC. While this volume followed the trend of being a little less darker than its predecessor, there is still a lot of violence and gore.

Haha read this a bit quick.
Good. Dale is getting repetitive, but still very good.

Bullet Review:

Add to the pile of disturbing imagery and plot lines "attempted child rape" and "death by drill bits". Abraham is, by far, the most likeable character (though, please, that Sally Sob Story is just over-the-top); Rick a raging hypocrite. I feel like points of this were pointless, such as the trek for weapons (but they lost the truck) and an annoying character's attempted suicide (but don't worry, it only takes 2.5 seconds of offscreen thinking to make things ALL BETTER).

Still mildly interested in where they go from here as we *gasp* get answers about how this THING happened.

This volume got me to the point where I'm now reading issues rather than the trades as they come out. I just can't wait that long to see what happens to these people and it JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER. This is hands down one of the best comic book series I've read, and there's a good chance that I'll put it ahead of Preacher by the time the series is over.
