I struggled with rating this one. My first thought was 3.5, but then I stepped back and thought about what this book actually is. It's essentially a cozy post apocalyptic book. I can't compare it to the straight up post apocalyptic books I've read. I'd say this book is perfect for people who want the post apocalyptic setting without the constant stress and tension.

4.5/5 ⭐️

incredibly amazing. finished reading in a day. although, i read it a few months ago, put it down, didnt pick it up until now.

to be honest, the start was a bit... boring... to me? i cant describe it. it didnt really grab me the first time i read it. it didnt pull me into this 'the story catches you and youre imagining it play out in your head' type of hyperfixation. or maybe im just hard to please regarding stories.

the story is beautifully written, andrew and jamison are very well-drawn characters. they have depth, sort of. that's what leaves me heartbroken to not rate this a 5/5. because it's missing something...

what happened to andrew's sister? what happened to the people who robbed them back at the cabin? what happened to chris and his siblings? well, i guess that's why the sequel exists.

i like andrew's witty humor and petty remarks. jamison's arch from becoming serious to full on protective shoot-enemy-in-the-face protective. their relationship felt natural, it wasn't rushed or lacking. i think anyone in a post-apocalyptic world would cling to the closest person they could find and fall in love with them.

however, that's just it. i'm stuck wanting more from this book. so many questions left unanswered.

Nooooo, it's over... -sulk-

I'm one of those people who read 50 or so books at a time. But this drew me in and I kept reaching for it whenever I was reading something else.

My OCD doesn't allow this usually....

All That's Left in the World was such a good book, and I'm sad that it's over so soon. I'm actually hoping that maybe the author will write a second. He certainly left it open enough to do so.

I like that the book does solely focus on the romance, that there's growth for all the characters and that there's plenty of things happening - but not too much at the same time.

I would definitely read this again.

It took me a long time to find the words for this one as I absolutely loved it.
Following the young Andrew and Jamie after a super flu has wiped out much of civilisation, it is full of heartwarming moments with terror, suspense and a little light homophobia thrown in!
