Deliciously fun! I love sports romance and was so thrilled to find that this is not another football romance but basketball instead! The author wrote a brilliant story about a famous baller and the small town waitress, and the character development was just fantastic.

Ben Castillo is living a bad moment in his life. He’s depressed and he feels lonely. His life is in upheaval and not the good kind. So when he arrives at this little town in Texas, to train for the Tokyo Olympics, the last thing he expected is to meet a waitress in the town diner who shorted-circuited his heart and alighted all his feelings. He wanted her so dang hard and yet she wasn’t playing along.

Turns out Raelynn wasn’t a normal waitress, she had genius accolades but had to come back home to care for her grandmother. She was kind and she was sassy. He was enthralled with her “pure sunshine” presence. Their attraction was electric but she knew the score, the players were here for a few weeks and would then leave for the Games. And she was as stubborn as she was smart!

Both had demands in their lives that made it difficult for them to work out. Ben had secrets he hadn’t shared with Raelynn, and she wasn’t willing to budge away from her grandmother. It would take time and distance for their HEA.

I loved how the author developed this story, loved the intensity of feelings that the characters portrayed. There were several moments when she brought me to tears at the despair of separation, and tears of joy when all their stars aligned. What I loved the most is that both were brilliant in their fields, and they brought something so very much needed in the other one’s life. They were both determined and selfless in their love! There were fun lighthearted moments, and the friends on both sides were a hoot. My only problem is that I rushed reading this book because I was loving it so much, and then finished too soon!

A sweet love story that's a bit schizophrenic. The story goes along and then takes a big detour about halfway through.

King of the Court has been one of my most anticipated books by R.S Grey. As expected, it didn't disappoint me at all, and I'm so glad that I gave this book a chance. Like OMG?! It literally got me hooked from the beginning till the end and I just loved everything about it.

Talking about the characters, I really adore Ben & Raelynn. The personas that they portrayed throughout the entire story are more than enough for me to love them. Also, I just loved the chemistry that these two have for one another. It's so obvious how they are truly meant for one another.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read and I think R.S Grey has done a great job in delivering the story of Ben & Raelynn. I highly recommend everyone to try out this book. Like seriously, if you're in the mood for a sweet romance that brings a smile to your face, then this one is perfect for you. Believe me, it's totally worth it.

I liked the 2 parts and the instant chemistry. It was definitely right person wrong time. The ending felt a bit rushed. Overall I enjoyed it!

Normally, I love this author. The premise of this book was great. Yet, it fell short for me which is too bad because it had the potential to be one of the best from this author. The parts that were good were great but the parts that weren't frustrated the heck out of me. My biggest problem was the time, it felt choppy, especially, once part two started. I wanted more time watching these characters rediscover what was special in the spark that Raelyn and Ben had.

Even though this wasn't my favorite from this author, ill still look for me books in the future.

Just couldn't hold my interest – I love R.S. Grey's newer books but getting through her backlist hasn't left me with many new favorites 🙃
