Fluffy, cute novel, slightly stereotypical characters and lack of diversity for setting

What a lovely, heartwarming and beautiful story of friendship, love and loss. Kate and Rosemary’s friendship is one of my favourite fictional friendships. Kate was very relatable as a character and Rosemary reminded me so much of my nan. I adored the flashbacks retelling Rosemary and George’s story and the passion of the community to save the lido was so heart warming. I loved the side characters and whilst not much actually happened in the book, drama wise, it was such a beautiful and lovely read. This book definitely felt like one giant warm hug!!!
