What a great introduction to writing memoir, especially for someone who already has a background in writing but is branching out to creative non-fiction. I only did a few exercises, but they were very helpful & enjoyable, and I look forward to using this book as a reference for prompts in the future.

This was a wonderful book! Loads of helpful material, quality references, and a thorough treatment of the writing process. I loved how the instruction could be applied to writing as a lifestyle, and not just memoir, essay, and personal history.

I read this book (and others) to get a better grasp of creative nonfiction genres and the nuances of the craft. Not at all disappointed! I felt great reading it, inspired, and enlightened. I've recommended this book to my writing circle and bring it up to everyone I hear who has an interest in writing life stories.

Great stuff! I look forward to working through the provided exercises in more depth!
