Interesting who dun it set in a small Canadian town. A part of a series and therefore the characters are not well developed. I am sure I would like the book more if I had read the series.

First one that I found to be a bit of a mess. Too much jumping back and forth in time, too much time spent on a non-murder plot that seemed too far fetched. Too “Gamache can do anything”

Louise Penny is masterful at weaving a story and evoking a sense of place. I am always happy to spend some time in Three Pines. I listened to this one on audio and really enjoyed the author interview with the narrator at the end of the audiobook.
