I wish there were half stars, as this one is a 3.5 for me. It was a good book to start getting me in the holiday spirit.

This was such an enjoyable read! I really liked the multiple POVs and all the characters. Sometimes a few of them drove me crazy, but they were still all very likable characters. I liked the bits of romance and the emotional growth they all went through. There were also several funny moments that helped even out some of the heavier moments. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Complex and heartfelt, I loved how each of the 3 sisters realize each others’ lives aren’t as perfect as they each think as they share their vulnerability, fears, and hopes. It allows them to be able to share courage with each other, and rediscover love and acceptance within themselves.

Each of them was so identifiable as women at any given point as well, and I loved the relationships they had with spouse/partners and family that wasn’t perfect but was still trying to find the best in and for each other. I think it was additionally relatable for me as a mom of 3 girls.

A light, women’s fiction Christmas read. I liked Wedding in December better.

Very fun and entertaining read. Amazing choice for the holidays. It creates perfect atmosphere for Christmas even with all the tension going on in the family. The book has it all - tragedy, friendship, love, reconciliation and of course sisterhood.

At first, I associate myself with Beth, as I am stay-at-home mom, so I felt all her struggles. Then I saw myself in Hannah, a girl who was afraid to get out her comfort zone and enjoy live as it is. I also identified with Posy and her assumptions of her life obligations toward her parents.

I was a but annoyed with male characters (everyone except Stewart, he was the best!). They seem too flawless. However, it is a romance, right? So better perfect than incomplete and misshapen.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Something about this book caught my eye and I was glad that I picked it up and read it. What an amazing character study of the three sisters and their family relationships with each other and their adoptive parents. It was very well written tying the sisters together with their biological parents and their adoptive parents and how the age differences of the sisters gave them a whole different perspective on their adoptive parents. Plus I loved how it dealt with the adoptive mom's guilt complex as to how she became their mother. I really enjoyed this book and all of the complex relationships within it. This is the first Sarah Morgan book I have read and I look forward to reading some more!

This was a cute Christmas story, but all of the secrets just didn’t seem that shocking to me.

A Christmas romance.

In this genre I expect coziness and good feels, and it being set in Scotland made me hope extra for that feeling. I have to say I'm disappointed. It wasn't that exciting, the characters weren't that interesting, the story didn't wow me at all. It felt a bit repetitive at times and kinda forced. There's better Christmas books I've read. This book was okay.
