mysterious slow-paced
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? No

i know i said the last love interest was intolerable but this one is even worse. The only saving grace is the relationship between the sisters otherwise I would have dnf'd ages ago.

Of the the Drake Sister series that I've read this one is my favorite. Libby and Ty are equals on all levels. Ty is strong, smart, and sensitive which is sometimes rare in these alpha male dominated books. The villian in this book was very obvious from the beginning. I like the fact that Ty used to notice her back in school and admitted to having a crush. I love their family dynamic, it makes you wish you came from a large family.

Solid family, decent sex scenes. The guy starts out incredibly rude.

This one was good. I really liked how it showed all the sisters together and their interactions. I also enjoyed watching the character growth in Tyson. I actually thought he'd be boring at first.

Dr. Libby Drake is the sensible and gentle sister. She never was and never will be the “bad girl”. She definitely doesn’t attract the attention of the one man she wants, Tyson Derrick. When he is in a critical accident it finally pushes them together and makes them both admit their feelings.

I definitely enjoyed Libby’s book more than Abigail’s. Libby is smart, gentle, and has a heart of gold. She will do everything she can to save those around her. I really liked that she appreciated Ty’s genius and didn’t hold it against him when he would become consumed with his work. Tyson was a genius scientist who is working to find a drug that will help fight cancer. I liked Ty. While he was an awkward genius he still showed his feelings for Libby in multiple ways, even before he admitted them to her.

Not only are these two feeling their way out in their new relationship but they are also dealing with multiple attempts on their lives. The overall story was pretty good but wasn’t very unique. I still enjoyed it, even though I realized who the bad guy was almost from the beginning. Overall, this was a good addition to the series. I really can’t wait to start Hannah and Ellie’s story.

This was an okay read. It's a shame that two supposedly genius smart people couldn't figure out what was so obvious!

Re-read 11/2013: I enjoyed this more than I expected to. During previous reads the lack of editing and hero drove me crazy, but I was able to look past those this time around. The hero still drove me crazy and the lack of editing made me grit my teeth, but I really liked the sisters and the way they supported each other. That made the re-read worth it.

Original review 09/2010: This is one of my least favorites in the series. Ty drove me absolutely insane. I have no idea why Libby liked him so much.

Plus, this is the book I call The Great Editing Fail Book. There are so many little inconsistencies and mistakes I wanted to pull my hair out.

I do love the interaction between the sisters, though.

Awesome to have Libby and Ty's story, and yeah, great mystery, can't wait to read Hannah and Jonas' book next!
