Liked Fantastick Four much more than New World

Good, dumb fun, reimagining some Marvel heroes as they might have been in the past. Requires some knowledge of the previous 1602 storylines but a very enjoyable way to revisit the Marvel-verse.

Somehow, I enjoyed a few of the heroes in 1602 more than their contemporary counterparts.

The "New World" story was just sort of okay. I like the Fantastic Four story better. There were several funny bits. Although I don't like how it ended, and it was weird that the king, who's been all villain up to now, was just sort of portrayed in the normal way you'd expect a king to be, so that switch didn't flow very well. I guess there were a few things like that which didn't seem to mesh entirely with the original 1602 story.

An interesting look at what life would be like for certain Marvel superheroes if they lived in the year 1602. J. Jonah Jameson has Peter printing broadsheets in the New World, while Iron Man sails there to take on the Hulk. Must read for any fan of the Marvel universe :)
