a fearmongering steaming pile of bullshit. i am begging everyone in these comments to actually do research the numerous studies proving how trans people actually exist and are not harmful. that is if you actually value 'facts over feelings'. imagine writing propaganda for children teaching them to hate trans people and gender diversity. and yet somehow trans people are 'brainwashing' YOU?!

Toke-a-Toke Town sounds like a great little vacation spot.
Great book for children working against the liberal indoctrination of children into identity politics.
Kevin is an elephant who lives in a society that relies on him and other elephants to provide manual labor. He doesn't necessarily dislike that hard work, but he'd rather be singing. It is suggested to him (by a vulture named "Culture" lol) that if only he were a bird, he could sing all day long. At first, Kevin dismisses the idea, but he is soon seduced by the image of himself with beautiful wings. In practice, the addition of paper wings and beak do little to distract from his large and clunky size. He jumps from a tree, hoping his emotions will give him the power of flight. When he crashes to the ground, he becomes very sad, and how could he not? Trying desperately to fight reality in that way would do that to anyone.
In the final action sequence there is a fire! A tree making up the home of the birds in town, has caught ablaze. Surely, if nothing is done quickly, all is lost. Kevin uses his big strong body & trunk (the things he was rejecting so harshly) to save the birds. Given the meaningful context (Protecting his community) in which to use his strength, he is able to accept that these attributes are not a burden, but a strength. When masculinity is a chore, and all our modern day masculine heroes have been reframed as toxic, it should come as no surprise that an increasing number of disaffected young men have decided to opt out completely.
