Love Sally’s books! This is my favorite of the series I have read so far. Sweet historical romance that got me in the Christmas mood!

At first glance, this book is an enemies-to-love story, but it is quickly apparent that there is much more to their history and relationship than that. I truly enjoyed this book. It kept me engaged from start to finish. The hero and heroine were so fantastic. And great secondary characters too. Sometimes the conflict in such stories seems a little far-fetched, but not here…easy to see how such a situation could have escalated over the years, particularly with the heroine being so young at the time of the misunderstanding. It was a wonderful journey through both characters learning to see their relationship and history through a grown-up lens. A tablespoon of conflict, a dash of humour, a sprinkling of personality, and a heaping scoop of attraction. I loved all the details about the Holiday traditions. I’ve seen this author talk about how much she loves researching for her books and it always shows in those amazing little details she peppers her writing with. As a reader, I love it! I always learn something. My only disappointment with this story was that the kiss at the resolution felt like it was not given quite enough attention…but that’s a small quibble. This is a wonderful Holiday read and I definitely recommend it!

Lots of talk about being enemies but barely anything is shown. This book is great if you have insomnia... Boring and chaste

fun read

Sometimes this type of story drags and I just feel like saying get on with it. But this story drew me in and held my attention and definitely touched my heart. I laughed, I sighed, and smiled all through the story.

This is the 4th book in this series that I have read, and I have loved how consistently fun they all are! I loved this enemies to more Christmas romance, and loved all the scheming and back-and-forth between Jessica and Ellis! Sally does a great job with these two characters and I really felt like I knew them and their personalities. There were so many great lines of banter and scenes that really sells the pranks (and pranks of old) in this story! If you’re looking for a fun, quick Christmas read that is sure to make you laugh—then this one is for you!

Thanks to the author for the copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.

I expected more even if it is a novella length. The love story didn't pack the punch I wanted. I wished for more pranks, more tender moments, maybe more manipulative antics by Jess's aunt. I believed Frank and Florence's love affair was stronger and more what I was rooting for and they were in the supporting cast.
I will always be a fan of Sally's, this just wasn't a favorite.
