4.5⭐️. This book wasn’t quite as action packed as the first one and the sexual tension wasn’t quite as thick (although still very good), but I still really enjoyed it.

I like that there were games/trials introduced in this book. The first one was kind of boring, but I liked the other two, especially the horse race and that she was able to ride Rasa. I’m looking forward to the other trials. I’m hoping they continue to get more and more difficult as they go.

I’m loving the anticipation being built up with trying to figure out how they’re going to save Maz by his birthday and figuring out Reyna’s past and who/what she is and why she’s so different from other humans and rune- marked.

Still a huge fan of Voror. The author always has such lovable sidekicks for her FMC’s. It definitely adds a fun element to her books.

While I found myself unsure if I would read the next book in this series, I am so glad that book 1 ended on a cliffhanger and got me to read this. As more and more of the storyline developed, I found myself hooked. Reyna, while still slightly annoying became an enjoyable character, and the more insight into Maz that we get the more I like him. This book ended on another cliffhanger and I CANNOT wait to read where this goes.

Pretty good, plot develops more but there is still so much mystery left around Reyna and her powers and heritage.

I did not do any research before I started reading this, I just liked the name and I am SO GLAD that I did. For me, this was a perfect fast-paced quick read. & I would read it again. Now onto the third one!

I liked this one better than the first in the series, but my questions still are not being answered.  I can understand dragging things out to build suspense, but in reality, the author could have shortened this series down to two or three books instead of four and it would have made more sense.  Don't get me wrong, I liked this series, but I don't like it when it's obvious that the author is more concerned with money than content.   Just my opinion.
